Hi Mike - On the subject of Rails and an economic downturn, I think the question is this: What can newer Rails developers do to get good fast enough to avoid becoming roadkill? I posted some thoughts on this at http://usablewebapps.com/2008/10/rails-and-the-possibly-coming-economic-downturn/.
