In defense of the punderati, they also appear to have announced a new windowing system, which (right or wrong) is worthy of comment.

re google chrome os... I totally agree, but the company announcing it has a ton of cash to get said distro onto devices. Nevertheless, I'm sure plenty of folks up in Redmond are squirming at the news.
